During the Nintendo E3 press conference, Nintendo announced the sequel to the best-selling Wii game Wii Sports called Wii Sports Resort. This time, Resort will be based around beach and water games.
Three new mini-games were demonstrated on stage. First one was a Frisbee mini-game game with you and a dog, not very interesting but what it did show was the new Wii Motion Plus (it’s a sensor box that connects to the bottom of the Wiimote that allows for 1:1 control over in-game characters). They demonstrated the wrist action of the player and how it corresponds with the character on screen in real-time.
Other games shown was a jet ski racing game and a cool-looking sword dueling game. Wii Sports Resort will be released next spring 2009 and will come bundled with the new Wii Motion Plus and an extended Wiimote jacket. Make sure you check back here for more E3 news at TGR.
